Seeking to change the rules, led by new faces, driven by their values and ideals, they open a new dialogue, challenge the state and are getting ready for a new kind of revolution.。故事讲述了10岁的城里孩子陈宇轩因参加一档体验类真人秀节目，来到河北革命老区的乡村生活。由于自身骄纵偷懒的毛病，陈宇轩不能很好地完成节目组的任务。在这段时间里，他无意中发现一封鸡毛信。鸡毛信的主人赵爷爷在他做任务之余，给他讲述了自己在抗战反扫荡年代送鸡毛信的故事。随着节目进程和鸡毛信故事的发展，现代儿童陈宇轩与当年送信的赵海娃在各自的故事里成长着，不同时空的交错下，两个年龄相仿的男孩分别完成了自己的任务，逐渐成长为富有责任感的少年。。
