故事发生在美国缅因州一个被冰雪覆盖的小镇上，由于多方的失误，导致小男孩欧文被遗忘在校车上一个晚上，正值严冬的小镇夜晚异常寒冷，欧文因身体温度过低，身体进入假死状态。校车司机和欧文一家的平静生活由此被打破。。Two young men (Jon Cryer, Rick Stear) who have been friends since early childhood decide to go on a trip to find a third friend (Rafael Baez) who has long since disappeared. Stories they have heard indicate that the friend has been seen in an apparently rambling, incoherent state at Coney Island. Their trip leads them to a number of adventures involving the otherworld-like life...。
