顾家源（马德钟饰）原为一音乐教师，新婚妻子谷慧庭（宣萱饰）在电视城担任导演，小两口甜蜜的二人世界还没享受几天，5个孩子就仿佛从天而降来到了他们的小家庭。原来，家源的姐姐、姐夫相继亡故了，唯一的亲人家源就成了姐姐5个孩子的监护人。为了不让孩子们伤心，家源骗他们说他们的父亲在遥远的非洲行医，而为了更好的照顾孩子们，家源甚至放弃了教职，而选择了工作清闲得多的在琴行担任教师。这样一间大屋内住着两家共7个人，人与人之间的摩擦、孩子们成长的烦恼共同构成了一幅幅温馨的家庭画面。。Gracie and Pedro are family pets with nothing in common.
