Plebs follows three desperate young men from the suburbs...。影片以小女孩梅的成长经历为主线，讲述了她先后在两个家庭环境中的生活境遇。梅10岁时到城里一个大户人家当佣人，主人是一个民间音乐家，常常带走家里所有财物出门游历，大小事务都由少奶奶一人承担。少奶奶曾经有一个女儿，在一场大病中夭折，梅长得很像死去的小姐，因此受到少奶奶格外的爱护。时光如流水，梅已经出落得亭亭玉立，而家里也不再需要她。少奶奶忍痛将她送去了音乐家浩民家中当佣人。浩民的未婚妻是一位热烈奔放的现代女性，两个截然不同的女孩形成了一种传统与现代的交锋。。青梅竹马的小龟奴宁烨与青楼女谢凝玉欲私奔，被老鸨和城主刘莽发现，宁烨遭处死却被大帅所救。他奋力成一方大帅，为救谢凝玉攻入明城，除刘莽，救其脱险。。
