婚礼策划师魏道生因婚礼市场萧条而陷入债台高筑的困境，无奈之下改行成为葬礼经纪人。然而红白二事大相径庭，这让道生在新的领域处处碰壁，其中最难一关是要得到喃呒师傅郭文的认可。起初因为理念不合，道生与郭文冲突不断，两人的关系岌岌可危。但在数次危难之际，郭文的出手相助以及道生亲眼目睹郭文与女儿文玥的相处细节使得道生与郭文之间的心结慢慢解开，道生也逐渐领悟到“破地狱”的真正意义。。该剧讲述了1945年日本宣布无条件投降之后，共产党、国民党、地方军阀多股势力盘根错节，在得到有一批日本军火藏匿龙城的消息之后，三方势力明争暗斗，利用各种手段展开殊死争夺。。Two places are in focus in this soap.
