李兆先（李子雄 饰）是公安局排爆大队长，几十年来多次完成包括废弃炸弹在内的险重任务，是排爆大队名符其实的一哥。刚刚处理完侧翻雷管车的险情，新的任务接踵而至，西郊风景区一座古墓被人爆破，从现场照片看出，此人乃爆破高手，李兆先带上付杰（王运生 饰）和林莺（宇菲 饰）展开调查。在化工商店，李兆先发现了犯罪嫌疑人，可是一念之差让他瞬间逃掉了。犯罪嫌疑人知道警察在找他，但他的心理素质极高，他故意给警方打去了电话。面对罪犯的挑衅，李兆先从蛛丝蚂迹中找出线索，确定了他下一步要爆破的目标是某申遗古墓。第二天，李兆先在人头攒动的围观现场一眼认出了他......。A film director gathers his favorite actresses, those he worked with and those he loved.
